How we use AI tools in the editorial process
Where we use AI
AI tools help us with routine tasks: initial drafts based on RSS sources from Vietnamese business media, translations between ru/en/vi, cover image generation, short summaries. This lets us publish analytics consistently with a small team.
Where we do NOT use AI
AI does not make factual statements on behalf of VietSmart without human verification. AI does not choose the expert angle. AI does not produce market judgements or recommendations β that is always the teamβs position.
Human editorial review
Every material is reviewed by an editor before publication: numbers and dates are reconciled with the primary source, inaccuracies are removed, expert commentary is added, tone and style are checked. No material is published without this review.
Models used
At this stage we use Google Gemini for drafts and translations, and Google Imagen for covers. AI model access is routed through our own proxy for stability and request auditing.
Primary source first
AI is not considered a primary source. If a news item is based on a publication, we link to the original β in the body and in structured data (isBasedOn / citation). AI tools are an assistant for processing, not a replacement for primary sources.
When something changes
This page is updated when our AI workflow changes materially. The last update date is reflected in structured data.
